Recreating the Utopia
About Us
Recreating the Utopia is a multisensory immersive exhibition that offers visitors a meaningful encounter with both nature and culture in urban conditions. Dedicated primarily to fostering awareness on the issue of deforestation and its profound impact on the Amazon rainforest and its population, it also invites visitors to rethink environmental conditions in their local areas. The exhibition encourages a shift in perspective on climate change, urging visitors to consider it from a less Eurocentric, more global, and urgent standpoint.
What should you expect?
Recreating the Utopia consists of several contrasting parts, and thus it is spread across two rooms. Each part requires different types of audience participation. Visitors can expect encountering thought-provoking photographs by French artist Philippe Echaroux, listening to sounds of the Amazonian indigenous music, engaging with taking care of plants and much more! In this unique space in the heart of London, everyone can experience a wide range of feelings - from relaxation and aesthetic pleasure to confusion and desire for taking action.
